Children

TGC Easter 2014 088Each weekend, your child can be a part of an exciting, active environment designed and created to teach Godly values at an age appropriate level.  While you are experiencing energized worship, your kids are worshiping in a fun and safe place that is “kid tested and mother approved!”  Ultimately, your kids will experience church like never before, with games, kickin’ music, and video created to present the Bible’s life principles in fun and innovative ways.  Our purpose is to teach all children that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever.  Our goal is to make this the most exciting hour of their week.

FAQ’S

What are the ages?
Kidzville is a dynamic kids ministry offered to kids ages birth through 5th grade.
Where do I check in?
When you walk in the foyer, look for the big blue Kidzville sign.
Are there safety measures in place?
Here in Kidzville, we make it a priority to ensure the safety and well-being of all children.  One of the ways we are able to achieve this is by parents checking in their child and receiving a matching ID sticker.  This allows our Safety Team to know who is allowed in Kidzville and who is authorized to pick up your child.  Your Parent Sticker is required for you to enter Kidzville and to pick up your child.
Why is there a number on my Parent Sticker?
Not only does the number on your sticker allow for us to match your child’s number with yours at pick up, it’s also a way for us to notify you during service if you are needed.  Your Parent Sticker ID number will appear on the bottom of the Worship Center screen in red if your child needs your attention.
What will my child be doing?
Nursery and 1 year old rooms:

These rooms offer children time to engage in:  play, appropriate worship music, and loving attention from our volunteers.  Our baby and toddler volunteers provide hands-on loving care, allowing parents to attend Worship Service with the knowledge that their child is safe, secure, and being fed God’s Word.

2 & 3s and 4 & Pre-K rooms:

First impressions are important.   That’s why we use First Look curriculum.  It gives preschool children a first impression of their loving, heavenly Father.  The curriculum keeps it simple and fun, repeating one basic truth about God all month long.  Our goal is to equip children with the knowledge of three basic concepts:  God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

K – 2nd Grade and 3rd – 5th Grade:

Our Elementary age kids use the 252 Basics curriculum.  When you see the word “basic” in the title, you tend to think foundational, essential, right? That’s what 252 Basics does – it equips kids from Kindergarten through 5th grade with the basic truths.  In fact, when a child transitions into Middle School, we want that child to have experienced and own three basic truths modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52.  (Light bulb moment!  Now you know what the 252 stands for.)
